A company known for manufacturing and selling dips is recalling their hummus products after a federal inspection revealed that a batch of those products could have been contaminated with hazardous listeria bacteria, a USA Today report stated on November 21.

A recall was issued to some flavors of Sabra Dipping Co.’s hummus products after inspectors from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) discovered the presence of listeria bacteria in their production facility. The affected batch had a January 23, 2017 “best before” date or earlier. FDA reportedly said that the harmful bacteria was not identified in the “finished product.” Sabra, who had confirmed that they have not received any injuries or illnesses, told reports that not all their products have been affected. Sabra also issued a recall last year to 30,000 cases of hummus that could have been contaminated with listeria.
