At least two drivers in West Philadelphia suffered personal injuries after they got involved in a vehicular collision where one of the vehicles caught fire, a report for Action News stated on October 23.

According to reports, a westbound vehicle traveling with a high speed struck a smaller vehicle on the crossway of Chestnut and 53rd Streets at about 6:45 a.m. on Sunday. The smaller vehicle reportedly went into flames after it lost control and struck a utility post.

A person, who happened to be in the area, helped a female driver get out of the burning vehicle. Responding authorities instructed people from nearby establishments and homes to evacuate while the flame continues to ravage the vehicle. Police authorities did not release the identities of the persons involved and they are figuring what have been the cause of the collision.
